Sugar Versus Calories In/Calories Out

Some time ago , I found a PubMed search on weight gain and weight loss to assess the accuracy of a widely held belief . What belief? This weight control depends on the " simple arithmetic " of calories and calories . As I had long suspected , that the arithmetic is not always clear.Even with the limited time I had , is still about 35 to 40 articles in various scientific journals that seem to defy the theory of calories. I have summarized some of the results below , but I need to start with a warning. Most of the studies mentioned in this article were made in animals. ( I specifically indicated when the subjects were human. )Some will argue on this basis, so I would make two comments :1 ) Studies of this type would be unethical to perform on humans . No review board approved the research that blocks people in a room , it takes control of your food, and forces them to gain or lose weight.2) Are you really ready to say that weight control is calories in / calories out in humans, but is allowed in animals? Competent veterinary , for example, can confirm that the metabolic effects of Cushing's disease , including the role of hormones in weight gain are identical in humans and dogs.So what happened in school? Different foods , nutrients and hormones influence the result of the mass . In short, what we eat can break the link between calories and weight.Weight gain diet sugar affected.• abdominal fat deposits were caused by a diet rich in sucrose in rats, but the rats ate the same calories as controls and showed no difference in weight gain compared to controls .• The most standard meal sucrose fed rats more calories than controls eat , but gained more weight in calories and had more body fat than controls.• The rats developed severe obesity in a diet rich in sugar , despite the standard controls food meal ate significantly more calories than sugar group.• The protein content of a diet rich in sugar helped to block the effects of sucrose in weight gain and weight gain - for - calories. [ The protein causes the release of glucagon . Glucagon opposes insulin. ]• A study of identical twins humans have shown that the main factor causing the different weight between the twins was sugar consumption .Dietary fat also affected weight gain , even plus calories. What appears to be a caloric balance calories / output is often the result of the composition of the diet. What we eat affect our hormonal response . The hormones may affect the weight beyond the calories. ( More information about the hormones in future articles . )Some of you believe it, some do not. I hope you stop believing that weight control is simple arithmetic . Instead , please change your diet in a healthier direction , and get rid of sugar.
